2014-15: Redshirt Freshman. Wrestled unattached going 5-8. Placed fifth at Missouri Valley Open. Also competed at University of Central Missouri, Lindenwood and William Penn Opens. Will improve with mat time and experience. Captured the teams Wrestler of the Week Award for his performance at the Missouri Valley Open.

High School: Tyler recorded a 142-15 high school record while placing at the Missouri State High School Wrestling Championships twice. As a Junior Tyler went 51-5 while finishing as a state runner-up. As a senior Tyler won the Missouri State High School Championships while leading his team to a fourth place team finish. Tyler was a four year letter winner in wrestling for Hannibal High School. In addition to Tyler’s accolades in wrestling he was also a four year letter winner in Cross Country. Tyler was also named 2014 Hannibal High School Student of the year as a senior.
