ACCOMPLISHMENTS
2019-20:
Tyler "Machine" Kreith's Word is Effort. He gives Great Effort in everything he does on and off the mat. He Motivates and Inspires his Teammates and Coaches with the Work Power and Effort he brings every day to the Dojo. He finished his junior campaign with a 22-10 record, and a 10-3 dual record. Finished 1st at the Kaufman/Brand/Bayly Open, 8th at the LU Open, 2nd at the Jim Koch Open, 6th at the prestigious Midwest Classic, and 5th at the NCAA Regional tournament. Tyler earned the Wrestler of the Week and OOOSSS Award honors nine times. Tyler earned the Dr. Lombardi Saint Award (3x), was a 20 Match Winner (22), the Varsity Letter Award (3x), the Outstanding Junior Award, was the Kaufman/Brand/Bayly Most Outstanding Wrestler, the Junior Scholar Award (3.885 GPA), the NWCA Scholar All-American Award (3x), is an NWCA DII All-Academic Team National Champion, the Rebounding Power Award, is a CoSIDA Academic All-American, was selected for the Div. II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award, and was elected to the Geico GLVC Team Academic All-Conference for the third time. He is a "Leader by Example" for us. The "Best is Yet to Be" for "The Machine".

2018-19: Tyler had an impact in Division II wrestling as a starter for us last year as a true freshman. He had an even bigger impact his sophomore season. “The Machine” had an outstanding season, finishing with a 6th place finish at the National Championships becoming an NCAA Division II All-American. He lights the fire for our team with his performance and leadership by example. His 34 victories were second on our team. He placed in every tournament, finishing 3rd at the Kaufman/Brand/Bayly Open, 6th at the Lindenwood Open, 3rd at the Jim Koch Open, 3rd at the Midwest Classic, 2nd at the Pat “Flash” Flanagan Open, 2nd at the Super Region IV Tournament, and 6th at the NCAA Division II National Tournament. He finished 11-2 in dual meet competition. He is an Academic Dean’s List student carrying a 3.938 cumulative GPA. With the highest GPA on the team, Tyler was nominated for the Elite 90 Award. He was selected as an NWCA Scholar All-American for the second time. He had a big part in the team winning the NWCA Team Academic National Championship for the second year in a row. Tyler won the team’s Sophomore Scholar Award, Most Improved Award, Outstanding Sophomore Award, Most Major Decisions Award with 9, 30-Match Winner Award with 34 wins, the NCAA DII National Qualifier Award and the NCAA DII All-American Award. He was selected to the GLVC All-Conference 2nd Team. He received the Iron Man Award for competing in every competition during the season, the Jim “Bongo” Bayly Iron Discipline Warrior Award, and the Dr. Lombardi Saint Award. He was awarded his second Varsity Letter. He received the Ryan Kaufman Most Outstanding Wrestler Award. He was awarded the Wrestler of the Week and OOOSSS Award 12 times during the season. Tyler is a leader by example on and off the mat. He is a “Positive Force” for our team and DII Wrestling.

2017-18: Tyler has all the right ingredients to have a big impact in Division II Wrestling. He is a Positive Force for us on the mat and in the classroom. He is leader by example for us. He had an outstanding Freshman season placing in 3 open tournaments. He started the season with a Runner-Up finish and a 3-1 record at the Kaufman/Brand/Bayly Open. Tyler was 3rd at the Pat “Flash” Open with 5 victories. During the season Tyler recorded 17 victories. In early February the decision was made to lift Tyler’s redshirt and he became the 125-pound starter for the Saints. He went 4-1 in his first 5 varsity matches with an 8-3 loss to eventual All-American Jacquez of Lindenwood University. Tyler earns his first Varsity Letter Awardas a true Freshman. Tyler is a 4.0 GPA student. He was selected to his first NWCA All-Academic Team and picks up the Freshman Scholar Award and the Dr. Lombardi Saint Award. He had a big part in our Team winning the NWCA Team National Championship. He is an Academic Dean’s List Student. Tyler was selected the Outstanding Freshman and wins the Jim “Bongo” Bayly Iron Discipline Award, GRIT Award, and Rebounding Power Award. Tyler was named the Wrestler of the Week four times and the OOOSSS
Award once this season. Tyler has an aggressive wrestling style that gets the Saints going as the 125-pound starter. 2018-19 is going to be a great year for Tyler and the Saints.

Tyler became a highly sought-after recruit when he placed 2nd at Senior Nationals upon the completion of his Senior season. Tyler was a 2-time Missouri State Placer (4th, 4th). He was a District Tournament Champion and 2-time Thrasher Tournament Champion.
