Chuck Yahng joined the Maryville University athletics staff as Assistant AD for Communications in October 2011. He came to Maryville after spending more than a decade at Saint Louis University.

Yahng oversees the media operations for the Saints’ 24 sports in NCAA Division II and the Great Lakes Valley Conference. He organized the design and launch of Maryville's athletics website, maryvillesaints.com, and manages the department's social media platforms. Yahng oversaw the press operations for the 2015 NCAA Division II Wrestling National Championships which Maryville University served as host institution, as well as assisting at the 2021 and 2022 DII Wrestling Tournaments.
Yahng has more than 20 years of experience in the athletics communications field. Prior to SLU, he worked for four years at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Yahng has worked as a media representative for 10 NCAA Tournaments, served as a media liaison at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and has been a media coordinator at the US Olympic Festival. He has assisted the media operations at the 2004 US Senior Open men's golf tournament as well as the 2013 Senior PGA Championship. An active member in College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA), he is a member of the Professional Education and Development committee, and formerly was on the board for D2SIDA and served on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, with prior stints on the Olympic Liaison and CoSIDA U. committees.
Yahng has a Master’s in Business Administration degree from Lindenwood University and is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis.
