Chuck Yahng joined the Maryville University athletics staff as Assistant AD for Communications in October 2011. He came to Maryville after spending more than a decade at Saint Louis University.

Yahng oversees the media operations for the Saints’ 25 sports in NCAA Division II and the Great Lakes Valley Conference. He organized the design and launch of Maryville's athletics website, maryvillesaints.com, and manages the department's social media platforms. Yahng oversaw the media operations for the 2015 NCAA Division II Wrestling National Championships which Maryville University served as host institution, as well as assisting at the 2021 and 2022 DII Wrestling Tournaments in St. Louis.
Yahng has more than 25 years of experience in the athletics communications field. Prior to SLU, he worked for four years at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Yahng has worked as a media representative for 11 NCAA Tournaments, served as a media liaison at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and has been a media coordinator at the US Olympic Festival. He has assisted the media operations at the 2004 US Senior Open men's golf tournament as well as the 2013 Senior PGA Championship. An active member of College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA), he serves on the Professional Education and Development committee. He previously served on the D2SIDA Board and served on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, and has also contributed to the Olympic Liaison and CoSIDA U. committees. In the summer of 2026, Yahng was recognized with the CSC President's Award which serves to honor exemplary service and leadership within the organization's committee structure in support of programs that benefit CSC members.
Yahng has a Master’s in Business Administration degree from Lindenwood University and is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis.
