In August 2017, David Reinhart was named head coach for the men’s and women’s tennis teams. Reinhart has coached in the St. Louis area for more than 15 years and is currently the Director of High Performance at Sunset Tennis Center.
“I am excited to begin my role at Maryville University leading the men’s and women’s tennis programs to success both on and off the court,” Reinhart said. “There is great energy and positivity on the campus, and I hope to bring that same spirit to the courts.”
Reinhart has been a national, regional and district special coach for the USTA and has directed numerous juniors to NCAA Division I and II tennis careers. He was the Outstanding Contributor to Youth High Performance in the St. Louis District USTA in 2015. Reinhart was the tennis pro at Sunset Tennis Center in 2006 to 2012 before being named the club’s Director of High Performance. During summer, he worked as a tennis pro at St. Louis Country Club from 2007 to 2012. Reinhart is a certified teaching professional at the highest level through the PTR.
Reinhart served as an assistant coach at Saint Louis University for the men’s and women’s teams from 2008 to 2010. He spent five years working in the development office at Concordia Seminary. Reinhart graduated from Concordia University in Seward, Neb., in 1999 and holds a master’s degree from Concordia Seminary.
