Jacob Walton enters his first year with the Maryville University Athletic Communications office after spending the last two years as a graduate assistant at the University of Indianapolis.
Walton serves as the primary contact for baseball, bowling, hockey, soccer, softball, swimming, track & field, and wrestling. He is also a key member of the Maryville Saints Athletics digital team, overseeing broadcasting while working as a photographer and videographer.
During his time at UIndy, Walton was the primary contact for women's soccer, wrestling, baseball, and tennis, while also serving as the head athletics photographer. He played a pivotal role in covering the back-to-back Super Regional champion baseball program, including serving as the host sports information director for the 2024 Midwest Regional, held on UIndy's campus.
Walton also contributed to the coverage of numerous other NCAA tournament appearances by all 23 UIndy athletic programs, including national championship victories by the UIndy women's lacrosse team in 2019 and the men's swimming & diving team in 2023.
Originally from Monticello, Ind., Walton holds a bachelor's degree in communication and a master's degree in public relations from the University of Indianapolis.
