Jovan Williams

Jovan Williams serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Game Management at Maryville University, where he oversees athletic facilities, event operations, and game management for the department’s NCAA, club sports, and campus recreation events.

Williams earned a Bachelor of Science in Sport Marketing and Management from Indiana University and a Master of Science in Sport Management from the University of Indianapolis.

Prior to joining Maryville, Williams gained valuable experience as a Game Operations Intern with the Great Lakes Valley Conference during the 2020–21 academic year. He then served as the Recreation Coordinator for the Adena Fitness Center at The Ohio State University at Newark and Central Ohio Technical College from 2021 to 2023.

Williams joined Maryville University in 2023 as the Coordinator of Facilities and Game Management where he managed athletic facilities and coordinated game operations for a wide range of intercollegiate competitions and special events. In June 2026, he was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Game Management.

A dedicated advocate for professional development and leadership within collegiate athletics, Williams was selected as a recipient of the 2025 Founders' Grant from the Minority Opportunities Athletic Association. He was subsequently chosen as a member of the organization’s prestigious Rising Stars Cohort, Class of 2026-27.

Williams' professional interests include facility operations, event management, leadership development, and creating exceptional experiences for student-athletes, coaches, staff, and fans.
