Saints Take on Wisconsin-Parkside for Fill the Hill; Lewis Visits Sunday

THIS WEEK:
The Maryville men's soccer team looks to “Fill the Hill” Friday, Oct. 5, when Wisconsin-Parkside visits for a 1 p.m. game. There will be free Qdoba food and drinks for all Maryville students. The Saints host Lewis Sunday, Oct. 7, in a 2:30 p.m. contest.
 
MORE ON MARYVILLE:
Matt Bearley and Gus Reinitz top the Saints with two goals apiece. Alex Brown has distributed a team-best three assists. James Hohenstein has played 950 minutes out of 1008 and carries a 1.70 GAA and made 37 saves this season.
 
ABOUT WISCONSIN-PARKSIDE:
The Rangers are 3-6-1 overall, 2-6 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Jorge Ontiveros is UWP’s top scorer with four goals and one assist for nine points, and Collin Monahan has three goals and one assist. Nick Huftalin has played virtually every minute in goal and has a 1.79 GAA.
 
ABOUT LEWIS:
The Flyers bring a 3-7, 3-5 slate to St. Louis Sunday afternoon. Luke Comerouski tops Lewis with three goals and one assist for seven points, while George Thomson has a team-high four assists. Alec Pickett has seen the majority of the time in goal and has a 2.50 GAA average.
 
RECAPPING LAST WEEK:
The Saints went out on the road but dropped two decisions in the state of Missouri. Drury used a big second half to pull away for the 5-0 victory. The second half again proved to be Maryville’s undoing as two scores after intermission led to a 2-0 win for Missouri S&T.
 
LOOKING AHEAD:
Maryville takes a trip to Indiana for two contests. The Saints are at Saint Joseph’s Friday, Oct. 12, then head to Indianapolis to challenge the Greyhounds Sunday, Oct. 14.
