The Maryville University women’s basketball team will host crosstown rival University of Missouri-St. Louis in a first-round game of the 2012 SCHEELS Great Lakes Valley Conference Basketball Championship Sunday, Feb. 26, at 1 p.m. in Moloney Arena. A pre-game party featuring free hot dogs, chips, dip and soda will begin at Noon in front of the Simon Center.

The Saints have already defeated the Tritons twice this season, including 75-59 Thursday night at UMSL’s Mark Twain Building. Tickets will be available at the door and are $7. All Maryville students, faculty and staff are admitted for free with a valid University I.D. Children under the age of six are free.

The winning team will advance to the quarterfinals of the GLVC Tournament which continues Thursday, March 1, at the Prairie Capital Convention Center in Springfield, Ill. The semifinals are Saturday, March 3, and the finals will take place Sunday, March 4.
