THIS WEEK:
The Maryville men's soccer team plays two road GLVC contests this week. The Saints play at Kentucky Wesleyan Friday, Sept. 14, and then face Southern Indiana Sunday, Sept. 16.
                 
MORE ON MARYVILLE:
Nick Doherty and Matt Bearley have scored one goal apiece this season for the Saints. Doherty leads the team with 12 shots. James Hohenstein has played the majority of the time in goal and has posted a 1.91 GAA in five games.
 
ABOUT KENTUCKY WESLEYAN:
The Panthers are scoreless in two games played this season and are 0-2 in the GLVC. Kentucky Wesleyan has managed eight shots on goal and have surrendered eight goals to UIS and Quincy. Bill Ison has played all 180 minutes this season in goal.
 
ABOUT SOUTHERN INDIANA:
The Screaming Eagles are 2-2 overall, 1-1 in the GLVC. Miles Durham and Jeffrey McClure lead USI with two goals each for four points. Andy Hamilton and Brandon Potts have picked up two assists apiece in four games. Jeffrey Ndielinger has played 270 of USI’s 357 minutes in goal and Ben Dempsey has not given up a goal in 87 minutes.
 
RECAPPING LAST WEEK:
The Saints began the week with a loss at Lindenwood but posted a 2-1 victory over McKendree to open GLVC play. Nick Doherty gave the Saints a 1-0 lead but McKendree tied the game. Maryville answered right back when Matt Bearley scored the game winner in the 56th minute. The Saints were unable to run their win streak to two when they dropped a 3-0 decision to Bellarmine.
 
LOOKING AHEAD:
The Saints return home Friday, Sept. 21, for a 2:30 p.m. game versus William Jewell. Maryville welcomes Rockhurst in another 2:30 start Sunday, Sept. 23.
