In its first home dual meet of the year, the Maryville wrestling team recorded a 31-21 victory over visiting Missouri Baptist, Wednesday night in Moloney Arena.
 
After the Spartans took the first two matches, one by forfeit, Tyrell Galloway got the Saints on the board with a 7-1 decision in the 141-pound division. Keenan Hagerty, who is ranked fifth in the country in the latest poll, recorded a pin in the final period to win his 149-pound match.
 
At 157, Joey Moorhouse won by forfeit, and Christian Loges pinned his foe at the 56 second mark for the win at 165. Marvio Tischhauser dominated his match at 174 with a 16-5 major decision. Matt Baker, No. 2 nationally in his weight class, won by a forfeit for the final points of the day by the Saints.
 
The Saints are back in action Sunday when they take part in the Missouri Valley College Open in Marshall, Mo.
