Ashley Selman recorded 13 kills and hit .385 while
Maddie Timmermann finished with 10 kills and posted a .429 hitting percentage as the Maryville volleyball team swept Drury 25-20, 25-20, 26-24. Libero
Ali Lampen recorded 21 digs and is just 15 away from breaking the Saints career digs record.

Set one was tied at 10-10 before the Saints reeled off four straight points. Timmermann had a kill, and Lampen served up an ace.
Hana Michael terminated a kill, and Selman and
Jordan McKinley had a block for a 14-10 lead. The Saints pushed the lead to as much as 21-15 but Panthers stayed close and chipped away at the deficit. At 23-20, the Saints closed out the set on a Selman kill and a DU hitting error.

With set two knotted up at 17-all, the Saints used a quick 3-0 run to take control late. Drury hurt itself with two straight errors, and a
Laura Welling kill pushed the Saints ahead 20-17. Maryville held a 22-20 lead and scored the final three points as Timmermann had a kill and Selman two straight to end the set.
The final set featured seven ties and five lead changes as Drury looked to extend the match. The Saints were on the verge of a sweep with a 22-20 advantage before the Panthers scored four straight to reach set point. Selman had a kill to save one, and
Grace Balcerak had another big kill to tie the set at 24-24. Selman's kill gave the Saints match point, and Welling's cross court shot closed out the set and match.

Michael added six kills and had 12 digs,
Taryn Trubich handed out 21 assists, while
Hanna Seitter finished with 19 assists. Â The Saints won their second straight and improved to 8-6 overall, 4-4 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Panthers fall to 8-5 overall, 3-5 in the league.

Maryville is back at home Saturday, Oct. 4, as it hosts Missouri S&T in a 3 p.m match at Moloney Arena.
