Trae Pemberton hit all five of his 3-point attempts and tied his career high with 26 points as the Saints recorded a 72-56 win over visiting Westminster Saturday afternoon. It was the second straight home game that Pemberton had scored 26 points. The Saints sank 13 3-pointers in the game.

The Saints led 33-30 at the break before the Blue Jays scored the first four points of the second half to take its only lead of the game 34-33. However, the Saints responded with four straight 3-pointers during a 16-0 burst to surge into the lead. Pemberton sparked the run with consecutive treys before
Armon Provo got into the act with back-to-back 3-pointers. Pemberton closed the burst with two free throws and a wing jumper for a 49-34 lead with 15:31 to play.

Matt Murphy finally scored for Westminster as the Blue Jays stayed closed at 51-40. The Maryville edge was 55-42 before the Saints put the game away with a 13-2 run. Provo swished a deep 3-pointer, and
Evan Booker had a tip-in for a three-point play.
Forrester Sims nailed a wing 3-pointer before the Blue Jays hit two free throws. Pemberton scored on an offensive rebound and put back, and his jumper with 4:25 to play boosted the Saints to their largest lead of the day at 68-44. The Saints kept their margin at near 20 points before easing to the win.

In addition to his perfect shooting from beyond the arc, Pemberton hit 9-of-12 shots from the field to match his previous career best. Forrester Sims scored a career-high 14 points, and Provo sank four 3-pointers and also finished with 14 points.
Saikou Jallow had six assists in the game, with five occurring on 3-pointers. Brandon Moore had 12 points to lead Westminster (2-8).

The Saints finish the nonconference portion of the season with a 5-4 record. Maryville is next in action Friday, January 2, as it hosts McKendree for a 7:30 p.m. game.
