2016 Illinois College Invitational results
Led by
Kyle O'Farrell and
RJ Brown's top 10 finishes, the Maryville men's cross country team was runner-up at the Illinois College Invitational in Jacksonville, Ill., Saturday morning. The Saints compiled 46 team points and was narrowly edged out for the title by Hannibal-LaGrange in the eight-team field.
O'Farrell was sixth overall and the third collegiate runner across the line in 29:18.14 over the 8K course. Brown was next across the fine at 29:27.56.
Brock Kasten was 11th overall and the seventh college participant with a time of 29.50.08.
Chase Bland was fourth for the Saints at 30:46.20, and
Guillaume Plagneux was the fifth Maryville runner across the finish in 31:34.17.
The Saints are next in action at the Great Lakes Valley Conference championships Oct. 22 at Rolla, Mo.
