Box Score Boliver, Mo. – The Saints men's soccer team scored a pair of goals late in the first half and then added an insurance goal midway through the final 45 minutes of play to earn a 3-0 win over Southwest Baptist in a mid-week match in Boliver, Mo.

Maryville controlled the pace of the game from the start as the Saints had six of their 16 shots in the first 25-minutes of the match.
Chris Naunheim took a cross from
Sander Heieren and flicked it into the bottom right corner of the goal to score his first goal of the year and gave the Saints a 1-0 lead in the 33
rd minute. After a Bearcat foul inside the 18-yard box, Nico Andrade converted his penalty kick into a goal and gave Maryville a 2-0 lead just six minutes later.

The Saints would continue to control play in the early part of the second half as
Rasmus Tauts found
Joergen Pettersen inside the box in the 62nd minute and gave Maryville a 3-0 lead. The goal was Pettersen's second of the year.

Christian Kjaersgaard earned his first shutout of the year en route to his third win on the seaon for the Saints.

Andres Melendez paced Southwest Baptist (0-7-1) with four shots on the afternoon in the loss.

Maryville (3-3-0, 0-3-0 GLVC) returns home on Friday afternoon to take on William Jewell in a GLVC match-up. The game is scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. start at Maryville Field.
