Liz Eardly notched 14 kills while hitting .400 and
Cassidy Arndt recorded a double-double with 10 kills and 15 digs but the Maryville volleyball team lost a 3-1 decision to William Jewell. The Saints won set one 25-19 before the Cardinals rallied in the final three sets 25-13, 25-18, 25-10. The contest was Senior Day for Maryville's lone senior

What Happened
The Saints grabbed the early lead with five of the first six points to take a lead they would not surrender. The Cardinals got as close as 7-5 until the Saints reeled off eight straight points. Eardly had a kill to start the run, and Arndt followed with a kill.
Allison Lakin and Eardly had a block, and Lakin later pounded down a kill. After two WJC errors, Arndt served consecutive aces for a 15-5 lead as Maryville cruised.

In set two, the Saints edged to an 8-6 lead. The Cardinals used their best stretch of the evening and went up 15-8 to eventually draw even. The third set saw the Saints break a 7-7 tie with three straight points.
Taylor Schellert had a kill, and Arndt followed with a kill. An error by WJC pushed the Saints ahead 10-7. Maryville was still leading 13-12 but the Cardinals used a key 7-0 run to take the lead. The Saints were down 7-4 before a WJC error pulled the Saints to within two. However, the Cardinals scored six straight to take control. Maryville made a late push with a 4-0 and closed to 19-13. The Saints saved four straight match points before the Cardinals prevailed.
