The No. 23 Maryville wrestling team rallied for a thrilling 22-21 victory over No. 20 Lindenwood Wednesday evening in Moloney Arena. The Saints overcame an early 12-point deficit and earned the win via the criteria two falls tiebreaker by a 2-1 count.
 
The Lions grabbed the first three weight classes and built a 12-0 lead.  James Krischke got the Saints on the scoreboard with a 10-8 decision at 149. Matt Pratt notched a 7-2 win at 157 as Maryville closed to 12-6. At 174, Tyler Harrington closed out a fall in just 57 seconds, and Bailey Kelly recorded what would prove to be a crucial pin at the 3:13 mark of his 184 match as the Saints jumped ahead 18-16.
 
Dustin Politte made it three straight wins as he picked up a 6-1 decision at 197 to build a 21-16 lead. Lindenwood had a tech fall in the heavyweight bout to tie the match but the Saints had enough bonus points to pick up the win.
 
The Saints are next in action Sunday, Feb. 11, as they host the Dr. Lombardi Duals starting at Noon in Moloney Arena.
