St. Louis – The Maryville University softball team used a pair of big innings in the nightcap to salvage a split with Union University in non-conference action Wednesday afternoon at Weber Field. Game One:
Hannah Tolley started the Saints off in the home half of the first with a single to right center field and moved to third on a throwing error as
Hope Miller dropped a bunt and then moved to second on a stolen base.
Sheridon Sprague helped her own cause with an RBI single to score Tolley and Miller scored on a throwing error to give Maryville a 2-0 lead. The Saints added another run in the inning on another throwing error to take a 3-0 advantage. The Saints added to the lead with back-to-back doubles by
