The Maryville women's tennis team rolled to an 8-1 victory over Rockhurst Friday afternoon at Dwight Davis Tennis Center in Forest Park.

The Saints surged ahead in the match by winning all three doubles tilts.
Rebekah Anderson and
Lina Kunert recorded an 8-5 victory in the top doubles match. At No. 2 doubles,
Sarah Etter and
Kine Kleppe matched the score to take their contest.
Sandra Hinterberger and
Ashley Dowden and eased to an 8-2 win.

Etter took her No. 1 singles match in straight sets by a 6-3, 7-5 margin, and Kunert notched her win at No. 3 by identical 6-3, 6-3 scores. Â At No. 4 singles, Anderson lost just five games in a 6-1, 6-4 triumph, while Kleppe won at No. 4 singles as she took the third in the 10-7 superset decision. Dowden won all 12 games in a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at No. 6 singles.

The Saints improve to 8-6 overall, 2-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Rockhurst is 9-8 overall, 3-2 in the league. Maryville plays its final home match of the season Saturday against William Jewell at 2 p.m. at Dwight Davis Tennis Center.
