The Maryville women's tennis team claimed its second straight Great Lakes Valley Conference match with a 5-0 nod over William Jewell Saturday afternoon. Due to weather, the match was moved indoors to the Vetta West courts in St. Charles, Mo.
 
The Saints again took all three doubles points to jump ahead. 
Sarah Etter and 
Kine Kleppe won all eight games to take their tilt at No. 2 doubles. 
Sandra Hinterberger and 
Ashley Dowden won an 8-4 decision at the third doubles position. 
Rebekah Anderson and 
Lina Kunert nearly went the distance before prevailing in a 9-7 win at the top doubles slot.
 
Kunert lost just one game as she was victorious at No. 3 singles 6-1, 6-0.  Hinterberger closed out the match as she carded a 6-1, 6-3 decision for the final point of the day.
 
The Saints charge to a 9-6 record overall, 3-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and the Cardinals slip to 7-14 overall, 2-4 in the GLVC. Maryville closes out the regular season with a final league match at Truman State Tuesday, April 17.
