The Maryville men's lacrosse team jumped out to an early lead but saw top-seed Young Harris rally to eliminate the Saints from the 2018 Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament 11-4 in Indianapolis Friday afternoon. The Saints were the No. 4 seed in the championships and had the 3-2 advantage in the early going before the Mountain Lions came back for the win.

What Happened
Young Harris took the early lead but the Saints roared back with back-to-back goals.
Brendan Cathers tied the game on his third score of the year, and
Ty Wenck pushed Maryville on top 2-1. YHC tied the game but
Tristan Snellgrove added to his season-record goal total with his 27th of the year for a 3-2 Saints advantage at the 2:34 mark. However, the Mountain Lions scored four straight in the second to take a 7-3 lead at halftime.

The defenses dominated as neither team scored for more than 13 minutes before YHC added to its cushion in the third quarter. The Saints were unable to dent the Mountain Lion defense in the second half before
Maxwell Johnson sprinted down the right side and bounced in a shot late in the fourth quarter.
