Allison Lakin led the Maryville team with nine kills but could not prevent Bellarmine from downing the Saints in three straight sets. The Knights prevailed 25-20, 25-18, 25-13.

What Happened
Down 6-2, the Saints charged back to forge a 6-6 tie. After a BU error,
Cassidy Arndt had a kill, and she teamed with
Kayla Nystedt on a block. A miscue by the Knights tied the set at 6-6. Bellarmine edged ahead but the Saints stayed close. They cut the margin to two on four occasions, the last at 21-19, but never tied the set. The Knights used a 4-0 midway through the second set and built a 17-11 edge. The Saints answered with five straight points.
Faith Ahlhardt had a kill to start the run, and a BU hitting error eventually pulled the Saints to 17-16. However, the visitors kept the lead the rest of the way. The Saints broke a 4-4 tie with kills by Arndt and
Liz Eardly for a 6-4 advantage. BU answered to retake the lead. Maryville tied the set at 8-8 but a 6-0 burst by the Knights closed the match.
