Holding a 42-39 lead at halftime, the Saints started the third quarter with a 9-0 burst. Barton began the run with a jumper, and
Abby Monis powered up for a layup. Barton drilled a triple and a bucket by
UU Longs pushed the Saints ahead 51-39. WJC finally scored but hoops by Barton and Monis restored a double-digit lead at 55-43. The Cardinals cut the Maryville edge down to 62-55 leading to the final quarter.

William Jewell closed to 66-61 with 7:12 to play before Monis and two baskets by
Hunter Stidham answered for Maryville. The Cardinals made one last push and scored the 76-68.
Kayla Steward nailed a jumper and converted a long 3-pointer for an 81-68 edge with 2:35 to play. The Saints stretched the advantage to as many as 17 to cruise to the win. The Saints defense forced WJC into 18 turnovers.
