Amanda Kaltwasser scored midway through the first half to pace the Maryville women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over the University of Missouri-St. Louis Friday afternoon at the Lou Fusz Soccer Complex.
What Happened – Kaltwasser opened the scoring for the Saints as she ripped a shot from the top of the 18-yard box in the 20
th minute to put Maryville ahead 1-0. The Tritons had numerous opportunities to score in the second half, but
Elyse Waterhouse and the Saints defense held on to claim their fourth shutout of the season.
Inside the Numbers – The Saints were outshot by the Tritons 7-5, but both teams placed four shots on goal. Waterhouse was credited with four saves on the day to earn her fourth win of the season.
