This Week in Saints Athletics – Oct. 14, 2019
Moonlight Madness gets the 2019-20 Saints basketball seasons started Saturday, Oct. 19. Festivities begin at 7 p.m. with a unique tie-dye T-shirt for Maryville students, free food, DJ and games. Moloney Arena doors open at 7:30 p.m. with the official start of Moonlight Madness at 8 p.m.
Men's Golf
The men's golfers hope this week is the first of two occasions they will play at the Country Club of St. Albans. The upcoming tournament is the 2020 NCAA Championship Preview Oct. 14-15. The course will be the host site of the 2020 NCAA Division II Golf Championships next May 2020.
Women's Golf
The Saints women's golf squad is in Murfreesboro, Tenn., for the Music City Invitational Oct. 14-15 at Old Hickory Country Club.
Men's Soccer
The men's team (10-0-0, 7-0-0 GLVC) closes out the home portion of its regular season with two contests at Maryville Field. Quincy visits for a 2:30 p.m. game Friday, Oct. 18. Senior Day will be Sunday, Oct. 20, at 2:30 p.m. as eight seniors will be recognized during the pregame ceremonies.
Women's Soccer
The final regular season home games are on top for the Saints women at Maryville Field. Quincy comes to town in a Noon kick Friday, Oct. 18. Senior Day will be Sunday, Oct. 20, at Noon as six seniors will be honored during the game.
Swimming and Diving
The Saints men's team will be in a dual meet at Lincoln College Friday, Oct. 18. Both the men's and women's squads will be in a tri-meet at Saint Louis University Saturday, Oct. 19. In addition to the host Billikens, Eastern Illinois will be competing in the meet.
Volleyball
The Saints take a break from GLVC action as they travel down Conway Road to Missouri Baptist Tuesday, Oct. 15, for a 7 p.m. match. The Saints head to Indianapolis for the Midwest Crossover Tournament Oct. 18-19 at The Academy Volleyball Club. Opponents and match times will be announced later this week.
