th-ranked Maryville men's soccer team a 1-0 victory over the University of Indianapolis Sunday afternoon at Key Stadium in Indianapolis. The victory for the Saints snapped UIndy's six game winning streak.
What Happened – Rebo gave the Saints the lead in the 35
th minute as he ripped a free kick from 30-yards out into the upper left corner of the net to put Maryville on top 1-0. The Saints had a few chances to extend the lead in the second half, including a blast by
Iwan Webster that hit the post in the 48
th minute.
Inside the Numbers – The Saints held a 5-2 edge in shots on goal in the match.
Dom Riggio paced the Maryville attack with three shots.
Max Simonazzi had a pair of saves in earning his second win of the season.
