In the inaugural game of the Maryville women's lacrosse program, the Saints faced an arduous task as they hosted No. 4 Lindenwood at Maryville Field. The Lions proved worthy of their ranking as they defeated Maryville 20-1.
Haley Downs scored the first goal in program history as she opened the second half by firing in a goal just 37 seconds after halftime.

Lindenwood controlled the opening draw and scored on the first possession of the game. The Lions scored eight times in the first 10 minutes and eventually took a 15-0 lead into halftime. Maryville won the draw to begin the second half to start the offense. Downs circled behind the Lindenwood goal, curled around to the front of the cage and slotted the ball into the lower left side.

Downs led Maryville with two shots, while
Claire Martin and
Addison Devers both had one shot apiece.
Brianna Bravo had two Caused Turnovers. In the nets, starter
Tabatha Saake made three saves, while
Alyssa Graebner came up with five stops.
