The Maryville men's tennis team won four singles matches to rally and edge Emporia State 4-3 Friday at Sunset Tennis Center. The singles action was close as five of the six matches went to a third set.
Erik Aarthun and Fernando De Andres Orea won their doubles match at the third slot but ESU took the other two contests to win the doubles point. Louis Glaves won his No. 2 singles match 6-1, 6-2, and Bodin Aleksic was victorious at No. 3 by a 6-7. 7-6, 10-8 decision. Juan Segura won at No. 4 3-6, 6-2, 11-9. De Andrea Area notched a 6-4, 2-6, 10-6.
The Saints even their record at 4-4, while Emporia State falls to 4-3.
