Brianna Bravo fired in a season-best four goals but the Maryville women's lacrosse team was defeated by Ashland 14-9. The game was tied at 9-9 with 16 minutes to play but the Eagles pulled away late.
 
The Saints scored first when Bravo tallied less than two minutes into the game. Ashland led 3-2 before Bravo tied the game, and Claire Martin pushed the Saints ahead 4-3 at the 13-minute mark. Bravo completed her hat trick for a 5-3 advantage. Ashland rallied to force a 5-5 tie.
 
The visitors inched ahead 7-5 until Addison Devers pulled one score back. Ashland rebuilt an 8-6 edge before the Saints reeled off three straight goals. Bravo scored on a free-positon shot, and Kendall Werkmeister tied the game at 8-8 with 19:04 remaining. Devers tacked on a goal to boost Maryville to a 9-8 advantage with 16:52 to play.
 
Ashland tied the game at the 15:54 mark at 9-9. The Saints nearly retook the lead but hit the crossbar. The Eagles took a 10-9 lead with 14 minutes remaining. Maryville drew a yellow card and had a two-minute advantage but could not tie the game. The Eagles took an 11-9 lead with 6:47 to play and held the Saints off.
 
Tabatha Saake made nine saves in goal for the Saints. Devers notched three assists with her two goals for a team-high five points, while Diana Moreno led the defensive efforts with six caused turnovers. Sofia Michael topped Ashland with six goals on the day.
 
The Saints are now 1-4 on the season, 0-3 in the GLIAC. Ashland improves to 2-3 on the year, 1-2 in the GLIAC.
