Claire Martin scored twice but Rockhurst defeated Maryville 15-3 in women's lacrosse action Saturday morning.
Kendall Werkmeister tallied the first goal of the game for the Saints.

The visitors scored twice in the first three minutes en route to taking a 5-0 lead. Werkmeister got the Saints on the scoreboard when she converted a free-position shot at the 18:13 mark. The Hawks took a 7-1 lead at halftime.

Rockhurt extended its lead before the Saints pulled two back late in the contest. Martin twice took advantage of free-positon shots and scored.
Tabatha Saake made 14 saves on the day in the nets for Maryville. Martin led the Saints with four ground balls and two caused turnovers.

The Saints stand at 1-2 on the year, while the Hawks improve to 3-4. Maryville next is in action at Lewis for the GLIAC opener Saturday, March 9.
