Grand Valley State boxscore in PDF

Bri Laster tallied Maryville's lone score of the game as No. 21 Grand Valley State defeated the Saints 20-1 in GLIAC women's lacrosse action Sunday in Allendale, Mich.

The Lakers took the opening draw and recorded the game's first goal and tacked on two more scores in the first 10 minutes of play. The Saints were unable to put a shot on goal in the first half as GVSU took a 13-0 lead at intermission.

The Saints had their first good scoring chance of the game six minutes after the break but Addison Devers' shot was saved. After a goal by the Lakers, the Saints controlled the draw. Laster fired in her eight goal of the season to get Maryville on the scoreboard. The Saints were unable to build on their initial score as GVSU closed out the victory.

The Saints stand at 1-10 overall, 0-8 in the GLIAC. The Lakers up their mark to 8-3, 5-1 in the GLIAC. Maryville is next in action at nationally-ranked Indianapolis Friday, April 5.
