The Maryville men's tennis team edged Rockhurst 4-3 Friday in Great Lakes Valley Conference action in Kansas City.
 
In doubles play, Rockhurst won the team point by taking the No. 1 and No. 2 matches. Juan Segura and Bodin Aleksic took the No. 3 match 6-1. Jack Beuttell-Triggs won the No. 1 singles match 6-2, 6-4, while Louis Glaves emerged with a 6-4, 7-5 win at the second singles slot. Segura claimed the No. 4 match by scores of 7-5, 6-3. Aleksic won the final point at No. 5 singles with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 victory.
 
The Saints are 8-7 overall, 3-2 in the GLVC. Rockhurst falls to 11-10 overall, 3-2 in the league. Maryville plays again Saturday at William Jewell.
