Missouri S&T recap
Parker Long finished with 17 points and seven rebounds, while
Jalen Gant narrowly missed a double-double with 13 points and nine boards but Missouri S&T downed the Maryville men's basketball team 72-61.
Owen Long made a season-high four 3-pointers en route to tying his season best with 14 points.

What Happened
The Miners quickly built a double-digit lead but the Saints responded and eventually took the lead by halftime.
Zach Colletta and Gant scored back-to-back layups. Two free throws by
Kamto Eze pulled the Saints to 14-11.
Owen Long hit a wing 3-pointer, and a baseline jumper by
Ross Ryan was good for a 19-18 lead at the 6:33 mark. The Miners edged back ahead but the Saints scored the last seven points of the half.
Parker Long made two free throws, and Colletta did the same on the next trip. The Saints made a defensive stand, and came up with a steal.
Dezmond McDaniel put up a deep 3-pointer at the buzzer that splashed in for a 30-26 lead.

Missouri S&T scored 11 of the first 13 points to begin the second half before an
Owen Long 3-pointer sparked a 10-3 run.
Parker Long drilled a jumper, and
Owen Long made a basket and a triple for a 42-40 advantage. The score went back-and-forth until
Parker Long's 3-pointer and Colletta's bucket were good for a 51-49 lead. Gant powered up from the left side to bank in a basket that forged a 55-55 tie with 5:20 remaining. The Miners scored six straight points during a crucial 9-2 run and held on for the win.
