The Maryville men's tennis team started the 2020 season with a 6-1 victory Friday at Quincy. The Saints grabbed the doubles point then took five of the six singles matches.
Louis Glaves and Juan Segura teamed up to take the No. 1 doubles match by a 6-3. Jack Beuttell-Triggs and Bodin Aleksic won the second doubles contest by the same 6-3 score to clinch the first point of the match.
In singles action, Beuttell-Triggs earned a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 1, and Glaves took the match at No. 2 by the score of 6-2, 6-1. Segura won at the third slot 6-1, 6-3, while Aleksic claimed his clash at No. 1 via a 6-2, 6-2 count. Fernando De Andres Orea took his match by matching 6-3 scores in both sets.
The Saints are next in action when they travel to William Jewell Friday, Feb. 14.
