The Maryville men's tennis squad was narrowly defeated by the University of Missouri-St. Louis in a non-conference match Sunday at the UMSL Tennis Courts. The teams split the six singles matches but the Tritons won the doubles point for the difference in the match.
Louis Glaves recorded the win at No. 2 singles in a 6-2, 6-4 decision. Juan Segura worked for a 7-5, 3-6, 10-5 victory at the fourth slot, while Donovan McKnight fought for a 6-1, 6-7, 10-8 triumph at No. 5 singles. However, the Saints were unable to grab one more point as the Tritons picked up the team win.
The Saints are next in action Wednesday, March 4, as they host Lake Superior State at the new Maryville Athletic Complex Tennis Courts.
