Truman State Recap
The Maryville men's basketball team was looking to upset a ranked Truman State team for a second straight time but the No. 12 Bulldogs used a big second half and prevailed 72-47 in Kirksville, Mo.
Daniel Farris led the Saints with 12 points Saturday afternoon.

What Happened
The squads traded the lead eight times in the first nine minutes with neither team leading by more than three points until Truman State went up 18-13.
Daniel Farris scored on a driving layup to bring the Saints back to within three points. Trailing 22-17,
Jaelon Hood scored on a drive, and
Donovan Parker sank a jumper.
Owen Long made one free throw to tie the game 22-22 with 3:59 left. However, the Bulldogs scored 10 straight points to take a 32-24 lead into the break.

Truman State began the second half with a 12-1 burst before the Saints scored their first field goal to make it 42-28 with 14 minutes remaining in the contest.
Owen Long sank his first bucket of the second half to keep Maryville within 14. However, Truman pushed its advantage up to 20 to earn a split of the season series. Truman's Dylan Peeters had 17 points and 18 rebounds as the hosts shot 50 percent in the second half.
