Cedric Sengl slotted home the overtime winner Sunday afternoon in the Maryville University men's soccer 1-0 road victory over Southwest Baptist. The victory is the third straight shutout win for the red-hot Saints.

The Run of Play – The first half consisted of the Saints dominating the possession battle, but unable to capitalize in the final third. The best chance for the away team came in the 16
th minute when a corner kick was whipped in where
JD Sohn put a shot on net that was stopped by the Bearcats 'keeper and then followed up by a
Bryce Dickerson rebound attempt that was cleared off the the goal line by a defender.

Mirza Hasecic had a phenomenal chance in the 48
th minute that was tapped over the bar to keep the match level. Fellow senior
Dom Riggio had a header attempt off a corner kick in the 66
th minute miss wide left and the match stayed deadlocked at 0-0.

The match went to overtime and the Saints made sure it did not last long. In the 93
rd minute, junior
Braden Johnson played a ball to a sprinting Sengl who split the defense and passed a finisher to the left of the sprawling 'keeper to give Maryville a 1-0 road victory.
