McKendree used a big second half to record a 77-58 win over Maryville in men's basketball action Thursday night.
Owen Long paced the Saints with 21 points, while
Daniel Farris added 13 points and four assists.
JT Morgan grabbed a team-high six rebounds.

What Happened
Tied at 2-2, the Saints used an 8-2 to grab the early lead. Long sank a 3-pointer, and Farris scored on a layup. After a Bearcats bucket,
Kamto Eze powered up inside for a bucket, and
Jaelon Hood added one free throw for a 10-4 lead. McKendree got hot from beyond the arc to take a 21-15 advantage but the Saints answered with an 11-2 burst. Farris sank two at the line, and Long knocked down a jumper. After McKendree scored, Long drained another triple, Farris scored four straight for a 26-23 lead. However, the Bearcats took a 27-26 margin into halftime.

McKendree started the second half by scoring 10 of the first 12 points to jump ahead. Down by seven, the Saints crept closer after two hoops by Eze and a free throw from Morgan cut the margin to 44-40. However, the Bearcats went on an 8-2 run to take control of the contest.
Donovan Parker converted a jumper to bring Maryville back to 52-44 with just under nine minutes left but the Saints never got any closer the rest of the way. The Saints shot nearly 50 percent after halftime but the Bearcats were even better at 62.5 percent.
