Jessie Hynes recorded her second straight hat trick but the Maryville women's lacrosse team dropped a 17-7 decision at Missouri Western Sunday afternoon. She added an assist and finished with four points on the day.
Skyler Jolie recorded the fastest goal to start a game in program history in 38 seconds and finished with two goals.

What Happened
After Jolie fired in the early score, the Griffons tallied two straight. Hynes ripped in a goal to tie the game at 2-2 five minutes into the tilt. Missouri Western went back ahead on four straight scores before Jolie brought the Saints to 6-3. The Griffons took an 8-3 lead into halftime.

The Saints started the second half by finding the back of the net twice. After Hynes' tally, Julie Banfield scored to trim the deficit down to 9-5. However, the Griffons broke the game open over the next 15 minutes. Hynes completed her hat trick to end the Missouri Western run. Katherine Von Mecklenburg scored in the final minutes for the Saints.
