The Maryville women's tennis team recorded its second straight victory with a 6-1 triumph at Southern Indiana. The Saints took two doubles matches and dropped only one singles point to improve to 5-1 on the season.
 
Carolina Velazquez and Emily Orlove cruised to a 6-1 victory at the top doubles position. Ashley Dowden and Maria Gouveia teamed up for a 6-4 win at the No. 3 doubles slot to earn Maryville the doubles point.
 
In singles play, Georgie Cupper worked for a 7-6, 6-3 decision at No. 2. Carolina Velazquez eased to the win at No. 3 by a 6-3, 6-1 score. Orlove won by the identical score at the fourth singles position, and  Ashley Dowden won at No. 5 via a 6-4, 6-3 decision. Gouveia posted a 6-3, 6-3 win at the sixth singles slot.
 
The Saints are next in action when they host nationally-ranked Indianapolis Friday, April 16, for a 2 p.m. match at Dwight Davis Tennis Center.
