The Maryville men's tennis match with Lewis came down to the final two singles contests, and the Flyers edged the Saints 4-3 Saturday at Dwight Davis Tennis Center.
 
In doubles action, Tom Schmitt and Fernando De Andres Orea posted a 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles but the Flyers took the other two matches for the doubles team point.
 
Singles play saw Schmitt win his match at No. 6 by a scoreline of 6-2, 6-1, and Sebastian Trigosso claimed a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 5 singles. The Flyers won the next three singles matches to win the overall match. Jack Beuttell-Triggs won the final point for Maryville with a 6-3, 6-3 decision at the No. 2 slot.
 
The Saints slip to 4-6 overall, 2-5 in the GLVC. Maryville is next in action Friday, April 23, as McKendree visits Dwight Davis Tennis Center for a 2 p.m. match.
