Lindenwood Recap
St. Charles, Mo. - In the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship semifinals, the Maryville men's lacrosse team was eliminated by host and top-seed Lindenwood 14-7. Tyler Wenck scored the first goal of the game to give the Saints the early lead but the Lions tallied two in the first quarter to take the lead. Lindenwood outscored the Saints 4-0 in the second quarter to take control.

What Happened
After a Lindenwood turnover, the Saints grabbed the lead at the 13:46 mark when Wenck fired in a shot. Both defenses took over as the teams combined for nine turnovers over the next seven minutes. Lindenwood finally broke through for its first goal at the 5:53 mark for a 1-1 tie. The Lions added a second with 2:30 left in the first to take the lead. The Lions kept the Saints off the scoreboard in the second quarter to grab a 6-1 at halftime.
 
The Lions built a big lead in the third before the Saints rallied. Jake Foster scored with 3:19 left in the third, and after a faceoff win, Jacob Allen found the back of the next 27 seconds later. Justin Morgan made it three straight as the Saints converted a man-up chance to pull to within 11-4. Maryville cut Lindenwood's margin down to seven two more times but never got any closer.
