Kansas City, Mo. - The Maryville men's golf team finished in seventh place at the NCAA Midwest/Central Tournament Saturday at Shoal Creek Golf Club in Kansas City, Mo.. The Saints posted team scores of 297-291-297=885 as Maryville had its best finish in program history at the NCAA Regional tourney.
 
Will Holan made an eagle on his fourth hole of the day, No. 13 and eventually made the turn at one-over par. He tacked on consecutive birdies at No. 6 and 7 to finish with a 75. Holan had scores of 73-70-75=218 at the tournament to lead the Saints.
 
Keenan Flemming recorded a birdie on his fourth hole to start his day. He made par on the last two holes of his outward nine then was steady and strung together seven more as he finished his day with a 75. Over the three rounds, Flemming recorded scores of 72-72-75=219 to finish second for the Saints.
 
Alex Locke went out in even par as he posted birdies on No. 12 and 16. He closed out his round with seven straight pars to cap his best round with a 72 and a tourney total of 76-76-72=224.  Jake Newman came home in the final round with an 83 to post rounds of 76-73-83=232 at the Regionals.
 
Austin Fauser made a birdie on his first hole of the day, No. 10, and also added an eagle on 16 and another birdie on 17. He closed out his tournament with back-to-back birdies for a round of 75. Fauser improved during all three rounds and posted scores of 82-79-75=236.

Central Missouri claimed the team title with rounds of 279-275-293=847. Indianapolis was second, Arkansas Tech took third and Washburn rallied for fourth place. UCM's Matt Hoemann won medalist honors at 205.
