Third-Seeded Saints Will Host NCAA Third Round, Quarterfinals

ST. LOUIS – The Maryville men's soccer team will play host to the NCAA Tournament Third Round and Quarterfinals this weekend after advancing past Lewis University on Sunday. The Saints are the highest remaining seed in the region after the top-two seeds were upset in the second round on Sunday.

Maryville is the final host to the Super Region 3 bracket, beginning with a 10 a.m., third-round matchup between the University of Illinois Springfield and Lake Erie on Thursday, Nov. 10. The Saints will play in the second game that same day against the University of Wisconsin-Parkside at 1 p.m.

The winners of the two games will move onto the NCAA Quarterfinals for a chance to advance to the final site, Interbay Stadium in Seattle, Wash.

Men's soccer won their third GLVC Tournament in program history after taking down Missouri S&T, the University of Illinois Springfield, and Lewis University. After being matched up with the Flyers again in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday, Eyob Tadesse sent the Saints forward with a tie-breaking tally in penalty kicks.

Admission for Sunday's game is $10 for everyone at the gate. Live stats will be provided and every match will be streamed on the GLVCSN.
