INDIANAPOLIS – Maryville University men's soccer will play in the second round of the NCAA Tournament against Lewis University on Sunday, Nov. 13, at the Maryville Soccer Field with a 1 p.m. kickoff. The Saints earn their fifth consecutive tournament bid after winning the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament this past weekend.
The Saints won their third GLVC Tournament in program history after taking down Missouri S&T, the University of Illinois Springfield, and Lewis University. The men's program enters the NCAA Tournament with an 11-4-4 record including a pair of wins against top-25 teams this season.
The NCAA DII Tournament is composed of 40 teams from across the nation broken up into four Super Regions. Maryville will take part in Super Region 3 which also includes teams from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association. The winner of the Regional will advance to the National Semifinals played on Thursday, Dec. 1 at Interbay Stadium in Seattle, Wash.
Admission for Sunday's game is $10 for everyone at the gate.
