St. Louis – The Maryville women's basketball team snapped Lewis' eight-game winning streak as the Saints defeated the Flyers 67-60. Antoinette Mussorici led four Saints in double figures with 17 points, while Haidyn Pitsch added 13 points and eight rebounds. Taylor Kirby and Hunter Stidham finished with 12 and 10 points, respectively. The Saints limited Lewis to 32.8 percent shooting.
 
What Happened:
Leading 30-28 at halftime, the Saints hit the first two buckets of the second half. After one Lewis free throw, Stidham drilled a 3-pointer for a 37-29 lead. Midway through the third, Stidham and Kirby scored as the Saints built a 43-33 edge. Maryville settled for a 47-39 lead after 30 minutes.
 
Mussorici and Pitsch sank jumpers to start the fourth as the Saints built their largest lead of the night at 51-39. Maryville's margin was still 60-50 with four minutes to play before the Flyers mounted a comeback. Lewis closed the gap to just 60-58 at the 1:54 mark. Stidham sank two free throws, and Mussorici made one. The Flyers missed consecutive 3-pointers and Mussorici converted two more at the line. Lewis missed in the waning seconds and Pitsch sealed the win with two more at the line with 17 seconds to play.
