ST. LOUIS – The Saints dropped their third game in a row to the Prairie Stars on Sunday afternoon, losing 12-5 to end the weekend series.

The UIS offense picked up right where it left off on Saturday afternoon, posting three runs in the second inning on a three-run home run to right field. The Saints answered back in the bottom half of the inning on
Alex Hoff's RBI double down the left-field line to pull within two.
After the Prairie Stars added six more runs in the third and fourth innings, the Saints continued to claw their way back on a two-RBI single from
Matt Schuler. UIS, however, had other plans scoring again in the sixth and the seventh on their way to a 12-5 victory.
Alex Hoff had a strong showing on Sunday afternoon, collecting two doubles and three hits in four tries.
Elias Stevens and
Ben Hopkins also swung hot bats, collecting two hits each.
