St. Louis - The Maryville women's team battled city-foe Missouri-St. Louis right to the end but the Tritons edged the Saints 4-3 on a windy Tuesday at Dwight Davis Tennis Center.

Georgina Cupper and
Victoria Lisson won their match at No. 2 doubles but the Tritons took the other two matches to grab the doubles point. In singles action, Cupper won her contest at No. 2 via walkover, while
Carolina Velazquez rallied for a 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 3.
Nicole Pafundi rolled to a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 6 singles. However, the Tritons edged the Saints in a tiebreak and another match in the third set to hold on for the win.

The Saints are next in action Saturday, April 2, when they host Lindenwood for a match that is back in Forest Park at Dwight Davis.
