St. Louis - The Maryville women's tennis team roared past Lindenwood 5-2 in a Great Lakes Valley Conference match held Saturday at Dwight Davis Tennis Center in downtown's Forest Park. The Saints swept all three doubles matches and claimed four singles clashes.
 
Emily Orlove and Carolina Velazquez dominated at No. 1 doubles via a 6-2 scoreline. Georgina Cupper and Victoria Lisson took their contest at No. 2 by a 6-4 decision. Maria Gouveia and Nicole Pafundi rolled to a 6-2 triumph at No. 3 doubles.
 
Orlove shut out her opponent at No. 2 6-0, 6-0, and Velazquez won at No. 3 by a 6-3. 6-4 decision. Lisson took her opponent at No. 4 by a count of 6-4, 6-4, while Pafundi eased to a 6-2, 6-4 triumph at the fifth singles slot.
