Julia Banfield recorded a hat trick and
Haley Downs handed out three assists as the Maryville women's lacrosse team beat Quincy 10-7.
Jessie Hynes,
Skyler Jolie and
Reagan Rukstad all scored twice, and Hynes added two assists to finish with a team-high four points. The victory is already Maryville's fourth on the season, the most for the program in a single season.

The Saints took a 3-1 edge midway through the first quarter but the Hawks scored three straight for a 4-3 lead at halftime. Hynes tied the game early in the third but QU rebuilt a 5-4 lead. The Saints offense took over with four consecutive goals to take control.

Rukstad drew the Saints even, and Banfield put the Saints ahead 6-5. On the first possession of the fourth quarter, Hynes spun through the QU defense and rifled in a shot for a 7-5 edge. Banfield completed her hat trick with 12:32 left in the game as the Saints surged to an 8-5 lead. The Hawks cut the gap down to 8-7 but Jolie's goal made it 9-7. The Saints gained control late in the fourth, and
Lexi Taylor's goal in the final minute sealed the victory.
