Springfield, Ill. - The Maryville women's tennis squad traveled to Illinois Springfield but came up on the wrong end of a 4-0 decision versus the Prairie Stars.
 
Georgina Cupper and Victoria Lisson took their contest at No. 3 in a 6-3 decision but UIS won the other two doubles matches to grab the first point of the match. Looking to try and rally in singles play, UIS would not relinquish the lead and took three singles decisions to end the match. Emily Orlove won the first set in her match at No. 2 but her opponent came back to take the final two sets.
 
The Saints close the regular season with a match at McKendree Saturday, April 23, starting at 11 a.m.
